Artist Statement
How would I describe myself? A down to earth artist who prefers to just live a quiet life. My works are a mix of abstract representations of nature in contemporary land/seascapes (my favourite), the wonders of outer space/fantasy, famous figures from history and myth, spiritual ideas and observations on the human condition. To me paintings are not just images, they are precious memories and moments in time recorded by the painters brush and paper. I want to create art that makes people think and look at art in new ways.
My painting story began in 2019 as a way of relaxing from the stress of caring for a close relative. Following her passing I thought you know what I want to see if I can make this my way of life.
I wanted to see whether I could do something a bit different in abstract style with plenty of life, energy and vibrant colours. And I did.
The cost of delivery is included in the main price without having to charge more.
My studio space is now in Dorking, Surrey. in the Surrey Hills I sell online. You can collect your paintings from my studio in Dorking if you wish to collect in person in preference to Royal Mail 1st class recorded post. If you wish to visit my studio I will need at least 24 hours notice.
Most of my pictures are A4 size with the occasional A2/3 or A5 one.
If you wish to have a wooden frame I am offering flatwood in white or oak brown. I am aware that not everyone can hang their paintings so there is the option of having a photo style stand instead of a wire at the back of the painting.
In addition to my paintings I have a greetings cards range. They are for sale in single quantities in an envelope without plastic packaging that pollutes the environment.
I do not accept hate mail which goes a straight in the bin. All my drafts and new pieces of art will be posted on this site.
